extracting files help

alright so i downloaded a file and it was in 73 parts, each ending with 001, 002, 003 etc

ive tried using winrar, 7zip, and hjsplit but none have been successful in getting the file out. i tried renaming the files to .r01 .r02 .r03 etc and tried to extract using winrar, n it says crc failed in -file name here-

idk what to do any suggestions or help for me would be greatly appreciated

Dont you zip ALL the files together? WHILE they are still zipped?
THEN unzip it?

Example:
I download a 5 Part download.
Each part is it its on zip? Part1.zip, part2.zip etc etc
Zip part1.zip all the way to part 5.zip, in your case 70 something together, THEN unzip the knew Zip

hmm perhaps what i said is misleading. the files i downloaded are split into 73parts because of its size and when trying to extract the files i get a crc failed

I don't think it's your fault. It sounds like some of the files could possibly be corrupt. Is there a .sfv file present? You can download a program to verify the archive checksums by using the sfv file.

no i dont have a sfv file

perhaps there is another way?

Well it should work with winrar, so I am still guessing at one or more archives being corrupt. You should check the file size of each one and see if one is smaller then the other (except the end one). Chances are that is the corrupt archive.

Does winrar stop at a certain percentage and archive number?

they are all the same size, except the last one as you said, it generally stops at 3% in part 1

You could try downloading part 1 again, unless the source you are getting it from is corrupt. Without a .sfv file it's difficult to say which could be the culprit. They're usually included in large multi archive files.

Exclude part 1 and see if the other ones work?
Obviously you will need part 1, but it sounds corrupt to me, re download part 1?

haha im tryin to dl part one atm its gonna take bout 8min

n i downloaded zoids assault for the xbox 360, been trying to find this game for quite sometime n havent been able to, i found 2different downloads, one of them part 45 is "temporarily unavailable" but its been that way for days.

and theres this one. that i have all the parts but cant extract it =/


UPDATE

alright so i redownloaded part 1 and well.. im at 8% of extracting. and starting to believe i just had to redownload part 1, if thats true ive wasted about 7hrs trying to figure this out (been working on this since 130pm its 815 now) ill be happy yet angry at the same time haha

feel free to laugh and make jokes.. i find it quite funny myself.. yet not because i couldve had this done by now haha
