Hello, i've bought a new sd card to my sd2vita, and it was working perfectly, until a day that the vita freezed, then i forced the reset.
After that, i can't use my sd card again, when i open h-encore, and when i've to hit Exit, the message freeze on "exiting..." forever.. It only comes back if i remove the sd2vita (or just the sdcard)

and when I tried to open the sdcard on my computer, nothing happen, i've tried all programs that you can imagine, and nothing...

i tested another sdcard and works fine (in computer and in psvita) but this one (64gb, with all my games and saves) dont open.

The thing is, i know that the sd card is working, because it keeps freezing the vita.

I'm woundering, there's any vita vpk that format or recovery the sd card from sd2vita?

If someone help me i'll be very glad!

Thank you all

The thing is, i know that the sd card is working, because it keeps freezing the vita.

If it's freezing the Vita, then it, by definition, isn't working.
It's also very vague to say that when you view the mSD on your PC, "nothing work." We can only assume the card itself is corrupted.
If it can't be read, then it can't be read; it's corrupted. You can either try loading it on your PC through a Linux Live image (with exFAT packages installed depending on the distro) to forcibly load it, or format it the same way you did to start.

Thank you for your answer SeongGino.
When i say "nothing work on pc" it means that nothing happen at all, i cant find the sd card, its not recognized. I've already tried a lot of softwares and even Cmd. That's why i cannot format using my computer.

I'll try ur hint, using Linux, I hope it works, thank you!

Paragon Partition Manager 15 Professional (try that software from your pc, if it detects it can format)

It may not read in your pc because it was never formatted correctly to begin with, using the "zzBlank.img" and "HDDRawCopy1.10Portable.exe" after you format with fat32/exfat from your windows pc (it just removes some bytes from the header on the partition identifier).

(it also may not work because its a "samsung evo micro sd card", I originally had problems with those brands, and, "retropie has a compatibility list for micro sd card" that will work with vita, or just stick with "sandisk" brand.)

(there's "boot loaders", that can format blind through a port, if you set them up to do that, don't know much about)

Hello, thank you for your answer.
I've tried this Paragon Partition Manager with no lucky..
I formatted correctly using zzblank.omg and windiskimager.

I was able to use the microsd before, it was recognized by the computer, but after this crash in vita, it's impossible.

I think there's some corrupted file inside my microsd, because i've made the teste by using h-encore with the sd2vita without any sd card, and works fine, and when I insert this sd, the h-encore crash. That's why i think only the ps vita is able to read this microsd now.

But i can't find a way to format the microsd via ps vita.

@Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
