How big a size can be hooked up to the ps3?
Since the games I have are rather big, I'm assuming, I wanted as much space as I could have to install my games onto my external hard drive.

Someone told me the ps3 can only read up to 2tb...
But I do have a 4tb external hard drive.

No way to use 4TB NTFS drive to play backups. You can either use 2TB FAT32 to play or use 4TB NTFS to copy into internal hard drive.

Another issue is >4GB file split. For FF13, you have to split some larger video files in the FAT32 external drive.

Seagate's 4TB drives can be formatted to FAT32 and work on PS3 perfectly. I have two of them.

I also have a 4TB WD that has issues, seems to lock up from time to time.
