Was hoping to see an exception dump, but neimod wasn't interested ahah... And yellow8 couldn't get one at that time...

I know, but it's seem the youtube app once updated has the new crypto engine, and this require much more effort to debug then before... That's why yellow8 and his friend couldn't test it... It requires them to setup a new debug environment (or patch the current one)

No, the the updated YT-app can't be debugged. No one can. Only the EU or the old US version. A new "debug engine" doesn't break the encryption magically.

oh well :/ no more exploit anymore I guess xD Unless someone prove it's possible ahah

By new debug engine, I meant a debug environment, I guessed it was possible to do so since it was possible before with the old crypto engine...

Yellow8 friend live in Europe and has the new crypto engine..

As said already, it doesn't break the encryption. As long as the title can't be launched properly (due to the encryption), there is no way.

Yellow8 friend live in Europe and has the new crypto engine..
I'm sure he has not, because i know, who he meant (if he said that at all).

Well then, he said he couldn't test it because of a reason ( I was pretty sure it was because he got an updated version but meh :p I forgot why exactly. )

You are right. As said, no one can break the encryption. Or his friend has some "magic" For debugging this one would need a 7.X exploit.

Well I know current 3ds hackers might hate what's i'm about to say.. but maybe gateway are working on this ahah (the new crypto engine) ...okay.. I'm out...

or let's hope someone found a way to workaround this new wall xD

So, to finally destroy all hopes: It's just a crash because of a null-pointer read. Not useful in any way like i said. And of course, this is the old version. We can't debug the new version. For confirmation you know who to ask.

Somebody needs to change the topic to "Crash in Youtube app. Possible way to exploit?"

The title is way too misleading.
