Hi, first time poster, been a reader for a while;
I found some great posts, valuable opinions from here, thanks.
I think Ewin2 is a promising product for the cart market.
I have been using carts from generation to generations,
and have seen lot of products come and go, and the built quality
of EWIN2 just by far one of the best from what I have seen.
Start from the plastic shell of EWIN2.
The designer actually put thoughts into plastic molding, durability,
and functionality. EWIN2 MICRO even used a spray painting technique
to match the original NDSL painting.
The label design is sweet, and the PCB design looks neat and clean.
The compatibility of EWIN2 is very nice; it actually does a good job since its debut.
Although it occasionally had glitches with new ones, but new updates usually will be released soon.
(The same situation happened to all other carts, no one is free from updates,
unless they design a new card that access data from DS port,
which many companies are already starting their homework…)
Another issue is that, all current EWIN2 versions are not supporting GBA.
If you really need GBA feature, you don’t want to buy them now;
you might want to wait for newer versions of EWIN2.
Any how, EWIN2 is designing their new products, which will be released in about a month,
and there will be GBA compatible versions available
(same PCB with current EWIN2s, but has a new chip solder on the back)
The MICRO version will be updated with a perfect fit design,
just like the original dummy cart for NDSL.
Moonshell compatibility is under construction and will soon be release by the original programmer.
The tool of EWIN2 is using English as default language, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Yet, this tool is installation-free; you can run it even from your desktop folder.
It has both text menu and icon+text menu,
which means you are going to see the icon of roms on your screen,
kind of like G6L.
EWIN2 doesn’t have a good marketing strategy,
and that’s why it is hard to find them around. Most of online shops don’t carry EWIN2,
except bamboo and Linker4U.
I am very anxious to see the new version of non-stick out EWIN2 MICRO.
It will come out with GBA feature in the end of this month, hope it will look fine and all that.
Photoshopped M3L official pictures had also been released,
(Yes, it is, period. And it was after Super Card Lite’s release.
Check out the back view of the ice-blue version from the M3L official photo release,
pay close attention to the intersection area of both micro SD and battery.
If you don’t see what many others are already figured out, you need a pair of new glasses.)
I also would like to see what’s cooking by GBAalpha lately. Hope they will keep their promise;
they have been using this business practice to disturb other product many times and very good at it.
It’s kind of cheesy. And this time, with a photoshopped picture.
