Hacking Everdrive GBA and Pokémon ROM Hacks?

Hi, I'm interested in buying an Everdrive GBA but I'm mainly looking to play Pokémon hacks, specifically Pokémon Vega and some others (Touhoumon, etc.).

Can you play Pokémon hacks reliably on the Everdrive GBA? I have an Everdrive GB which I solely use for GBC Pokémon hacks.

To the best of my knowledge there are no emulator only hacks, or flash cart specific hacks for the GBA and if the base game works then the hack probably will too. Mind you pokemon would be a solid bet for first game/franchise to produce such a hack. Depending upon what goes you might also trip up some of the real time clock stuff if the game has it and one of the patches twiddles it a bit but most will not.

If you are more familiar with stuff like the N64 or GC with their texture replacement stuff by emulator, or some of the older SNES stuff then the GBA is not like that at all.
