I find it incredibly unlikely that you just happened to have played all of those and feel the opposite way.

Why do you disagree with me on Portable Ops Plus? Medievil? Fifa 07?

I can provide explanations of the reasons i dislike the games(and in some cases pictures of the UMD's...the ones i didn't sell off anyway!)

What are you talking about? I like all those games. Reading your post just gave me ideas of what to post.

Portable Ops was fun (not on Peace Walker's level, but still fun. Especially the multiplayer)
Do I really need to explain Crisis Core... I'm sure a lot of people can back me on this one.
Modnation was a fun kart racing game! Why hate on it just because you can't get multiplayer on the iso?
I found Fifa 07 and Fifa 09 the BEST out of the series. Way better than 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.
Simpsons game was good. Better than Family Guy game, at least.
Medievil Ressurection was fun (for me at least, since I loved the PSX Medievil)
Gunpey was good, but I haven't been spoiled by the DS version yet so...
IDK about you, but I love FF1&2. Loved it on the GBA and love it on PSP. Love the new graphics.
Again, the Family Guy game wasn't as good as the Simpsons game, but at least it was better than the Spongebob games...
I.Q. Mania is pretty much the same as all other trivia games, which is a good thing.

The gameplay is actually horrible.

Portable Ops PLUS had no single player game....
Crisis Core was generic and had nothing for a non FF fan that other games doesn't..certainly not essential.
Modnation is inferior to the cheaper and more fun CTR which is on the PSN.
Both FIFA's - smacks of trolling more than anything. You only need one of the series...surely if you'd actually PLAYED them you'd know which was better?

Medievil was terrible....crap controls, crap gameplay, crap appearance, crap collision detection. Only good thing about it was Tom Baker.
Gunpey is far from a PSP essential...again trolling since you've agreed with me that the DS version was better.
FF1 and 2 are also far from essential. In fact FF2 was an exercise in grind...much better RPG's on the system.

I'd say it;s mainly for the customisation. I'm gonna DL it just 'caus someone made EarthBound characters in it.

Wait, what? PO+ was actually kinda fun. I mean, It does give you more to do with your Portable Ops save file, and if you have some PSP friends it can be quite fun.
The Simpsons Game is bad!? What?! I actually had a lot of fun with it. Seriously, there are so many piss-up moments in it, why do you have to hate it so much?

Yes, I agree that it as an Essentials list, but there are the noteworthy and other games sections. Honestly, I'm just suggesting PO+ if you've played PO. If there was a -1 rule, people would just be going -1 on everything. I despise any FF game after VII, yet I understand that many enjoy it, as such I only give my opinion when asked.

voting = supporting what you like/prefer

don't know how they do it in the U.K. but i'm pretty sure votes are tallied using addition, not subtraction. if you are voting "against" something, you add a +1 to what you believe is the best alternative.

if -1s are allowed, expect this thread to lose any meaning since people can just troll and wipe out the games they don't like.

The point is a streamlined list. If i need to add +1's just to validate a negative opinion that's not a problem, but if a new PSP user looks at an essentials list and decides to buy MGS Portable Ops Plus, Medievil Resurrection and IQ Mania to accompany there system i wouldn't blame them smashing their PSP and raging all over the PSP section of GBAtemp.

If all those games are rated as essential by Arwing i'd love to hear of a PSP game he didn't like.

Well according to the rules of the "Essentials" lists -1 voting is allowed so... and allowing +1 is the same as allowing -1 as people can just troll and get every game added to the list.

I'm surprised xist didn't bother to use the rules to defend himself in his choice though I fail to see why he didn't +1 to any game at all.
