Hello everyone,

I have come across something very peculiar lately and i would like your opinion and hints about it.

I have noticed that there are a lot of eshop code generators out there that are basically pretty much offer free game redeemable codes for free.

My wife wanted to get a theme but honestly it feels like a rip off to pay for a cosmetic change while you already paid for the console and need to pay for other content

So what do you guys know about it?
I am not sure if the rules allow it but i could post a link here to one of such websites that just offers codes

I understand that if you need to download something then most likely it's some sort of a virus, but is it even a thing?

Do you people even know about legit ways to get game codes apart from paying the full price for them?

Thanks in advance as always

P.S.

Sorry if i posted in the wrong forum, but after some searching this forum seems to be the most appropriate to ask such a question

Those sites that offer free codes are all scams and are dangerous

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
