Hacking Error 06-102 Mario Maker

I recently got Mario Maker 3ds USA for Christmas. I have an EU o3ds with a9lh and luma. I played it fine* until I updated it with an 1.02 CIA from that iso site. Now I get the error 06-102 when trying to play the 100 Mario challenge and the recommended courses.
*with no 100 Mario and recommended because u need to update and I can't do that as EUR eshop can't update USA games. Freeshop doesn't show the game + its cartridge. Please help me!!

Nintendo does ban for playing out of region games and Mario Maker does have a different title id between regions so they can easily detect it. You're probably banned.

I installed an USA cia and couldn't also play that, nor update it.
I removed the USA, installed a EUR version, and all worked well.

Was that update USA? My guess is, if you have a USA version in a EUR console, you can't access the internet side of things. Just change your console region, or get a EUR game.
