Pixl, could I please ask you a question?

Why don't you buy a flashcard instead of buying Ghost Trick or other games?
You can get an AceKard + 2GB MicroSD for like $16, thats cheaper then Ghost Trick, and you could put all the games you want on it and play without the hassle of having all those cartridges.

Because he wants to buy his games?

I personally hate having a flashcart.
As soon as I get a job and after I buy the 3DS + some games for it, I'll start buying my favorite DS games. Owning a game has a special feeling to it.

That's what the FCC wants you to think.

Get 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.

That's one of my top 10 games of all time for sure.

Since I don't know what that is, I don't know if it's a joke

So, I'll take it seriously and testify, owning a game does have a special feeling to it for me.

This is true. I think I've beaten every DS cartridge I own. The same can't be said for the ROMs on my micro SD.

It's called 'pirate syndrome' or something. I agree to an extent... legally owning and buying a game gives me extra motivation to complete it... I want my money's worth, or so to speak. That said, if the desire not to waste money is all that makes a game worthwhile then you have to question whether or not that game is even good.

Neither did I say I never buy games, I have bought a ton of games over the year, mainly on Steam, I have around $500 into that, and around $200 into movies that I really like.
Sometimes I just don't feel like having to spend $20/$40 on a game, mainly because I finish most of them fast, or something else.

It's not just that in my case, I actually don't support piracy and don't like having to pirate.
I'm 16 though and I can't properly work here until I'm 18 and the games being uber expensive (150 dollars ± for DS games) does not help at all. So, being a gamer, I'm basically forced to pirate, and I hate it.

But enough off-topic crap.

I agree with 999 and TWEWY. Both are amazing games.

If there is one thing I hate, it is people who don't pay for their games. Those developers are making the games for their living, to earn their way through life. I'm more than happy to shed out the occasional £20-£30 to get something that I will enjoy and help the guys who made the game for me to enjoy.

QUOTE(Hatashi @ Feb 7 2011, 08:58 PM) Nooo, I am not implying that.

I was just wondering what kept him from buying a Flashcard, seeing as GBATempt is full of guides, reviews and whatnot about them.

Who says I don't have a flashcard? I have an original R4 running the latest kernel of Wood - courtesy of our friend the Yellow Wood Goblin!

999
The World Ends With You
SMT: Devil survivor
SMT: Strange journey
Any Castlevania game. Portrait of Ruin was my favorite
Golden Sun DS
Tales of Innocence (has perfect english translation)

Too lazy to grab DS to find other epic games.
