Which is better, Enso or Enso EX? I usually go with whatever VitaDeploy does with the 3.65 install per Vitahacks. But that's not an option for the offline installation methods (PSTV's not exactly mobile). I wonder which Enso it even used? I also heard heard Enso (maybe EX) is risky, particularly if you reset your system without uninstalling. Anyone know?

I've bricked it too many times to count. Like, I just did Enso EX and like before (with whatever Enso I had previously from 'Install a different OS'), I lost Bluetooth support after reboot. So I had to start over. But this time I idid a reset (dangerous with Enso EX?) instead of a firmware reinstall. If I ihad to guess, maybe I recovered the /tai folder from my Vita onto my PSTV by mistake at some point in the past. It'll be awhile before I can try again as due to no offline solution.

Normal Enso "v2" (the version that works on both 3.60 and 3.65) already uses the original PS logo on start up (no molecule logo)
I didn't know that, there is not enough info online for PS Vita modding, you have no idea how much trouble I went through to learn how to reset the PS logo back.

Yeah, I modded my Vitas ages ago with Henkaku Henlo Enso, PS logo from the start, just the way I llke it. But Sonic, I can totally understand why you'd want the PS logo, it's a PLAYSTATION for god's sake!!! :nayps3:
I just remembered, just to clarify, do you have the PS logo or the PS VITA logo on start up?

See, I modded my Vita years ago so I forgot but I remembered now, originally you get the PS logo on start up, once I installed Enso it gave me the Enso logo on start up and it bothered me, I then installed Enso EX and it gave me the PS VITA logo instead which is an upgrade but still not to my liking, THEN after a lot of research and asking online I finally found the solution to restore the original PS logo just the way I like it.

Here are both start up logos as well as Enso for comparison, which one do you get?

I have an impressive animated logo that cycles from PS1 to 5 (with Vita in there in between) followed by "Play has no limits" with Vitamin. Currently disabled as Vitamin or custom boot animations are unstable.

LOL XFox, that's not bricking it. Bricking it is a one-time event. After that, it's...

Good question (I didn't even know there was a different one). Just the PS logo as shown above, on all my hacked Vitas. :)

That's a good queston XFox. I just googled the advantages of Enso EX over Enso, came up with quite a bit of info, like this:

What are the advantages of enso ex over enso?
The advantages of enso_ex over enso include:

I don't think I have any real need for that stuff, as I don't really "tinker" with my Vitas as much as others do. Aside from all the jargon above, can anybody name some practical uses for Enso EX? This would be greatly appreciated. :)

If EX is so good and polished, why's VitaHhacks not go into it? I got my PSTV rehacked with the 'Reinstall different OS' Enso. Not so sure I wanna risk losing it again as that system can't easily get onlilne (I know, why didn't I get a DekaVita for mobility?). I'm actually thinking of downgrading to 3.60 as I hosted an offlilne jailbreak for that on my PS3.

What the fuck is a DekaVita? Is that one of those Vitas where you have to pay for games, apps and more???

Nonsense!!!

VitaDeploy installs the regular enso.
Regular enso is recommended on most cases. enso_ex by SKGleba has a few advanced features, but they're not required by 99% of users. Only install enso_ex if you 100% know what you're doing.

Otherwise, just go with regular enso.

enso is the safe version for noobies, you don't even need it unless you want vita deploy to automatically activate every time you turn on your system, but enso ex is not dangerous at all, I imagine the benefit of choosing enso as default is because it changes your boot screen as a clear indication the hack installed correctly, otherwise you might have people claiming they've installed it successfully but still not working, just my theory.

Strongly opposed to EX at the moment unless I can find some other root cause for my recent issue. I did a Database Rebuild and it would only add time, the longer it took. Did it again from Recovery, same. Did a Restore... After setting Language, Timezone, Time & Date, it would hang in setup with just music. If that's not a brick, I don't know what is. The only way past was to reinstall firmware from Recovery, which for some reason doesn't accept ux0:/PSVITA/UPDATE/PSVUPDAT.PUP like PSTV does. Instead, it likes ux0:/data/PSP2/PSP2UPDAT.PUP. Still, after getting back up and running, I had a random DB rebuild that took 45+ minutes (The initial time may have finished had I let it). I wonder if it also surface scans for storage errors. Before that, I was getting errors saving files. Performing better now actually, but a new Vita's on the way just in case.Still planning on downgrading to 3.60 for offline jailbreaks though. It's hard to jailbreak when landing pages require the latest SSL and I'm naked without iTLS.
