Hardware Endless Ocean - Erratic Disc Drive Sounds

Is anyone else getting strange disc drive sounds with Endless Ocean? I'm getting unusual grinding noises, much louder than usual. I'm using TDK 16x DVD-R and it has never failed me before, and I just wanted to verify before I burn another copy. If it's just the game, then I'm not concerned, I just want to figure out if it's a bad burn or not.

I didn't try Endless Ocean, but i have the same problem with MySims. But it seems it makes the noise with the original disc too...

You should burn another copy.


Most, if not all, EA games do that to my Wii. Especially Godfather. It happened with Madden 08 the first time, but I burned another copy and that fixed the sound for the most part. I mean, the drive sound is still there, but just not as loud.

I have the same sound also, just on this game mainly. I think its a dvd drive intensive game, much like metroid prime 3
