Hacking Emunand update nag

I recently got an update nag on my emunand, Is it safe to update it using the nag, and does cakesfw support 10.5?

The latest versions of Cakes do support emunand 10.5 so make sure you have the latest version of Cakes before doing anything. It's safer not to update using the nag, but do it manually in system settings. That way you can verify 100% you are in emunand before updating. Make sure you do sysnand, emunand and SD card backups before doing anything at all.

You can get this app called 'Update Supressor', which turns off the update nag.

But if you plan on playing games online, it is recommended to update emunand to 10.5, as Nintendo recently fixed/patched online play. (Requires latest firmware now)

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, by all means. But I do believe that "update suppressor" app only prevents updates for apps like Ironfall, for example, so somebody doesn't lose their entry point for homebrew.

Again, somebody correct me if i am wrong, though. To remove the update nag from emuNAND appears to be (from what i have read) a lengthy and technical process.... Pressing B button every time is clearly easier when your 3DS only touches your hands
