Hacking Question Emunand Help Required

Hello all,

I have a switch which is currently on 6.1.0.
It was on 6.0.1 and i updated using ChoidujourNX.
Now if i wish to add emunand is this the correct way to do it.

1/. Restore back to 6.0.1 using hekate.
2/. Format switch to remove all traces of CFW.
3/. Then add emunand.
4/. Boot into Emunand and update it to 6.1.0 using ChoidujourNX.

My OFW will then need to be updated to 6.2 correct?

What are you going to use your emunand for?
If it's just for the pirate stuff I wouldn't bother restoring the nand backup first.
If it we're me + depending on the microSD size I would use SX OS beta 2.2.1 and make a 5gb emunand, then use beta 2.3 to move said emunand to microSD.

After that you can restore a nand backup of your system nand and upgrade it to 6.2 - but remember that 6.2 burns efuses, so your emunand can't use the sleep function if you upgrade ofw to 6.2

Once you've moved the Emunand sd does it delete the 5gb partition on the console?

Yes. It's actually not a partition, just some files on the NAND, so they can be moved easily.
