Elebits Undub

Well, the NA release Elebits just hit the streets (or the internet, if you will). However, it features English voiceovers.
So I made a undub patch (so I don't have to repatch my US Rom later again), and decided to post it here for all people who do not want to DL both versions and fiddle around with ndstool or Nitro Explorer.

Downlading the 4Mb patch takes less time than downloading both the US and JP versions.

Download Link Rapidshare XDelta3 Format 4Mb:

Just unrar the archive and place the USA Rom inside the newly created folder. Then click on Patcher-Click_Me.bat (a batch file, contains plain text. Right-click on it and open it with notepad if you want to check its contents). It'll automatically rename the NDS file to elebits_orig.nds and start patching.

Download Link Rapidshare PPF Format - 26Mb:

Includes the PPF and PPFomatic V3. In case you don't trust the PPFoMatic EXE (no, I have no intentions to h4ck your porn

) or already got your own version, you can safefly delete it.

Both work, but I recommend the xdelta package as it's smaller.

I like the japanese release better, there is a patch to make it use the programmed English script, but very nice game

Hmm if you undub the USA Version there shouldn't be much of a difference between the JP and NA Version - or is there any difference even after undubing it?

I doubt most people who use this speak Japanese. Why would you want a language you cant read or speak to over ride a language you actually understand? Is this some fad with Japan or anime or something?

It's not so much a fad, it's just that often the original VAs do a better job with the voice acting.
I want to listen to English made games in English, Japanese made games in Japanese, French made games in French, etc.
Simply because, often, more care is put into the voice work.

Of course, that's just my stance on it.

thx but i undubbed it on my own , its not so hard to undub nds roms
Yo, I didn't said you have to use the patch. But it's faster to download a 4Mb Patch than to download the whole JP game alongside with the US Version, just to replace 3 files. Also saves HD space.

The game has subtitles, and the Japanese VO is better. This just replaces the voices.

+1 to what he said and i'll add this on top. 90% of the english VO's are bad.

i wont do the undubbing until after i finish LA2 but it should be just a folder/file swap right?
Yeah, you have to replace all the sdats of the US version with the ones of the JP version. This works fine in Nitro Explorer, the files of both versions have the exactly the same file size.

Same as me. Original VOs all the way

Can you make an undub also for Pal version? I want to play with Italian text.
