Hi guys!
Do you know about 'Egg NS', the recent closed-source (but free) Switch emulator for Android devices?

The modern and powerful Snapdragon SoC (855 or better) is required, I guess. The game compatibility list is here.

I didn't try to run It yet by myself, but it looks very promising and fascinating!..
Here're some videos by devs (appears that they're a Chinese team) and a tech reviewer:

More videos.

Hmm indeed seems a bit ... well wrong ... to say the least as that will make it get taken down soon.
Or at least their direct reference to SwitchDroid which offers those keys actually.

That + the required gamepad.
+ The account login which seems mandatory according to their quickstart.

But still if this is legti and runs on Android with the compatibility they claim, I'm impressed, and I applaud that development. Not so much the further execution or 'packaging'.

Someone know how we can use this emulator without this pad? i try to use gamesir world app, but this gamepad isn't in the list of the official app...

  • Taki Udon from YouTube (a reliable source) has confirmed that it's real
  • The emulator is closed source, has been in development since 2017 (supposedly), requires you to register through the app, and is from China - so take that for what you will.
  • It seems to take code from Yuzu.
  • It only works with one controller right now, the GameSir-X2 Gamepad. Some people are saying that the emulator might be a ploy to get people to buy the controller. Worth noting that you can't use this emulator without a code from this controller, and the controller has only been released to reviewers - it's only available for preorder as of today
  • Here's the compatibility list - https://eggns.wordpress.com/2020/08/29/game-compatibility-list/ which has a lot of titles as being playable - mostly 2d stuff with the exception of Pokemon Sword/Shield (and more, see the videos below)
  • It only works with Snapdragon 855 and 865 phones
  • Supposed gameplay videos (I'm aware these might be streamed /fake):

And some videos from Taki Udon:

I don't get it. If you need to spend $100 for the controller, why not just spend the extra $100/$200 to get an actual Switch, which will obviously have 100% compatibility with all Switch games? Who exactly is this targeted at? People with $500 to $1000 phones who can't afford the extra $100 for a Switch Lite?

At first I thought this was fake, but upon looking closely to the provided videos it really shows the usual frame drips and issues you normally see in emulation, specially on Yuzu (even on powerful PC's). It will be a matter of time once this is released officialy by the Yuzu team without any hardware paywall like this, which is a novelty lol, becasue as someone said above, some of Yuzu's GPU code is being used for this.

I wonder if they might get in trouble because of that.
