Hello,

I recently get my Wii chipped with WiiFree.
What brand or type of DVD recordable is the best to use with Wii.

I managed to burn a couple of games with verbatin DVD-R and only 1 game have problem (Zelda Twilight Princess) so far.
I was playing for about 5 minutes and managed to save the game. and a few minutes more after the saved game, there's alwaysa message says that Wii could not read the disc, please refer to the manual bla bla bla....
That message shows up NOT at the exact same area or particular point.

So I'm just wondering whether any of you have similar problem or have any suggestion on what kind and what brand of DVD I should be using to burn Wii games.

Thank You

verbs dvd+r 8x and dvd-r 8x both have burned flawlessly for me so far after about 100 wii iso burns

only thing i can't get working is trauma center. i dont know if it got messed up when i ripped it with rawdump 2 or what, but it has DRE no matter what speed

next time you see that error message just eject the disk while still in play. Then the Wii will ask you to insert the disk again. It should run after that.

Edit: your media is fine. It's the same brand most of the people here suggest (

I use the datawrite -r 16x optima blue with ritek dye (Can't remember the code). These have worked on everything I've tried them on, DVD players, xbox, ps2 and also the wii. Not sure if you can only buy the datawrite/datasafe brand in europe.

Thank you all for the replies.
I re-burn (if that's even a word) the zelda Wii game with 1x speed and so far it works fine.
Before, I burned it with 4x speed.

Thank You ALL

Futureshop is selling Verbatim 100 Pack DVD-R/+R for $29.99 here in Toronto. Pretty good price.

I find Taio Yudens are best, but I would settle for Ritek or Verbatin dvd-r's as well (although CMC is kinda crappy).
