Duplicates help! Trying DSRO

Hi everyone! I’ve always felt that the Nintendo DS is criminally underrated when it comes to being a dedicated manga-reader. Think about it: it has two screens built right into the form factor, one of them has a precise (not quite most of the time though) touchscreen, and when you rotate the console 90 degrees counter-clockwise, it perfectly mimics the ergonomics of holding a real physical tankobon (manga volume). When held vertically, the D-pad sits perfectly on the bottom, and the shoulder keys (L/R) are in the ideal position for switching chapters. Plus, the touchscreen can be used to magnify for reading the text or inspecting details. Such interactions are the ultimate form factors that modern smartphones just can't match. To prove this, I built ds_mangaman — an open-source, highly optimized homebrew manga viewer for the NDS/NDSL. Posted this on the DSRO forums (http://www.advanscene.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=886) but that place sure isn't very lively and was hoping someone could help me out with some suggestions or alternatives.

So my DS collection is all over the place and is very unorganized. I have duplicates, and lots of them, just with different file names and it's a waste of space. They're all in one massive archive folder, and they're all uncompressed .nds files.

Is there anyway DSRO can detect duplicate roms, and make it easy for me to just delete the actual .nds rom file to save myself some space? Some of the duplicates are both USA files. Some of them are USA and EUR copies of each other, and I don't need both. I've been playing with the menus and such, and it doesn't seem to have an easy way to sort duplicates out, allow me to select a duplicate rom file and delete it.

Is there something I'm missing, or does anyone have any suggestions?

Another side question is, the program seems to run a bit slow and sluggish, and I'm pretty sure it's because I have such a large archive of roms, but is there anyway I can improve the performance? I'm fairly sure it's not due to my PC specs (running an i7-920 with 8gb ram, Win7 64).

Alternatively, got any other solutions to this, NOT using DSRO? What rom organizer/management do you guys use? It seems to me that DSRO is the only app that is actually constantly supported.
