I think it has to do with maturity. Shit when i was 8, I wanted a Game Genie,

I thought it was cool before I actually had it. Once I got one, I used it once and realized what cheating was. Realized fast, cheating took the sense of achievement out of the game and made it boring to play. I learned that instant gratification is not the way to go early on. These "cheaters" are middle aged and probably never learned. Cheating is lame. Play the game how it was meant to be played!

Agreed lol. Hell, when I got FF7 for android and found out they added the option to flip a switch & become level capped from the get go and disabling/enabling random encounters I immediately was turned off playing it and started it up on the PS1 instead, and that's for a single player game :rofl2:

I loved Game Genie! I still have one for my Genesis! However, Game Genie didn't always make games EASIER. You could always give yourself less lives or less power to make the game more of a CHALLENGE! I did that A LOT with Sonic. Gave myself one life to see if I could see how far I could get. Also when I had a Game Genie on NES, i'd give myself one life on Super Mario Bros, or start and stay as small Mario so I could never power up. It was fun doing challenges like that!...however, what the OP of this post is wanting to do is cheat against 99 OTHER unknowing players...
