Hello, i've been trying to fix this cart i got, a friend gave it to me for me to keep it and he pointed out that the cart may be broken: It shows a white screen when you tap on the DS card icon.
I just assumed that he didn't know how to set it up himself, like installing the kernel on the SD card and things like that. Tried seeing if my DS Lite could read the cartridge, and it worked (it showed the sponge dude in the thing):
After seeing that the card could be read,i formatted my SD card with Panasonic SD Formatter and went to the website on the cartridge to get the kernel (R4infinity[DOT]com), went to the dual core downloads and downloaded the latest kernel available on there. I put the files into the SD card and inserted it into the slot of the cartridge and got it in my DS. And then, just 2 whole white screens of disappointment.
Also: a few more things to point out:
-I've tried pretty much all of the other kernels on the website
-I've tried RetroGameFan's Updates
-I've tried Wood R4 1.61
-I've tried different SD cards
-My friend told me that he updated his 3DS, so maybe that bricked the cartridge?
-There's a high chance that the cart might be bootleg/fake.
So, any ideas on what can i do? Is the cart just broken?
