Hacking DSTT HELP

my DSTT for my DS lite (not DSTTi) keeps freezing when i try to load a game. i have reformatted my SD card numerous times. the games still freeze. can anyone help me please?

Are you using the default firmware? Have you ever had this problem?

besides trying the unofficial firmware
what game would that be?

well it is with every game on it. pokemon,mario kart, yu-gi-oh 5d's,beyblade metal fight.
I have used official firmwares and am currently on the latest one. 1.17? dont remember the number. this has been a reoccuring problem that would normally be fixed by a simple card reformat. that no longer works.
