DSMediaCenter - Finished Product

Hi, everyone.

Aside from my main projects, I like to do some small ones to waste time and to have some fun. DSMediaCenter is one of those "smaller" projects. Don't be deceived though, as DSMediaCenter is no small, laughing matter. This is a full-fledged launcher/movie player and has very powerful potential. I kept this project secret for a while, but as it seems since I am done with it, I may as well release it to all you; the public. This may be even used as a firmware replacement if you wanted, which is what I use it for. I hope you have fun with this application.

It supports SMF movie files and launches .NDS files

i tried launching a nds file and it froze at a white screen

Edit: the scroll for the roms doesnt work it only shows 5 games

Did you correctly DLDI patch? Is the NDS file valid?

The scroll does work...It's only supposed to show 5 DNS files at a time...

hmmm maybe your card isn't supported with chishm's DLDI loader...

It works on my EDGE...

Looks slick, doesn't quite sound functional enough to replace my card firmware though. Nice going though, it's an impressive private project from the looks of it.

This is pretty nice. Love the GUI, pretty cool. Couple of problems though.

1. Can't scroll when in launcher
2. Can't play .smf files. Screen just goes black. Probably not you fault though, as any homebrew supporting .smf files (including Spinal's original player) can't play them.

Other than that pretty cool. Perhaps if you added a couple more file types this would be AWESOME. And if you ironed out the first bug.(i think the second one is a problem with spinal's media player and my card, so no worries)

EDIT: Never mind, it seems it does work. Musn't have been doing it right before. So just the .smf file problem. Anyone managed to play them on a Max Media Dock ( i know it sucks)? Oh, and some icons (both homebrew and in the interface) show up as messed up patches of colour.

I think I may do that... Probably EMC, and DSV? I don't know about moonshell videos though but I'm sure ti can't be too hard..

What are EMC and DSV? I may be able to play those. Are there existing homebrews which play those I can try? Also, I was thinking more different TYPES of file, rather than just different video formats, which I think those are. You know, mp3s, .txt files, stuff like that. Pictures maybe as well. But this is really awesome, but for the corruption of some random icons.

EMC and DSV are different types of movie files for the NDS also.
