is there a way to install US DSiWare on a JP DSi on HiyaCFW's menu? i know it's possible for the vanilla NAND
but it just won't boot if it happens, i know i could just use TWLM++ but i'd like to reserve that for DS and GBA games
like i do with my wii via USBLGX except it's WII & GCN games.

Weird, idk why you're getting that full system memory message then.
if i were to retrace my steps: i wanted to update HiyaCFW but couldn't due to the issue i had with the updating twilight menu in TWLmagic not working, so i decided to just boot into twilight menu via a hotkey on my DS, dump the NAND, then install then run TWLmagic with but not with the advance tab this time, and all was functional and still is just that one specific quirk unfortunately

Somewhat off topic but is it possible to move a save file from SDNAD to SysNAND?
Sure, a Wii/DSi title's save is just files in twlnand (/title/{titleID-low}/{titleID-high}/data/{public and/or private}.sav) so, assuming the title is already installed on both sides*, you can just copy those files

* as you may have noticed, to "install" a DSiWare is a rather loose definition, here I largely mean "in whatever good enough form to run"
i got a "system memory is full" message when i turn it on and then it just crashes afterwards
Isn't that the usual FAT16 (official maximum with 512 byte sectors = 2 GB) free space calculation problem?

I would have said classic Unix
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/whatever/on/your/SD/1GBjunk1 bs=1m count=1024
but there are probably 50 ways to do that :D
