Hacking DSiWare installation cia on Emunand?

Hi there,

I just wanna ask a question, is it possible to install a DSiWare cia on Emunand and run it from there, or it isn't possible yet? Is there any way to make it work?

Install cia on sysnand AND emunand and run it using rxTools.

He is wrong, you can install GBA games in both sysnand and emunand to run them in emunand by you can't do this with DSiware.

You can only install it into the NAND using FBI and run it in sysnand using a CFW.

Oh okay, and, is there any chance of bricking if I were to install it on Sysnand, and, I personally didn't owned it?

You can run DSiWare on rxTools EmuNAND so why wouldn't you be able to on any other EmuNAND?
If the NANDS are linked then it only needs to be installed to 1, if they're unlinked then they need to be installed to Sys & EmuNAND

I have 3 DSiware titles running on my EmuNAND and they all work perfectly, my NANDS are unlinked so they have to be installed to both.

And, what about Gateway Emunand?

No idea, but why not give it a shot anyway?

Gateway doesn't have GBA/DSiware support.

They never bothered with it, that's one of the advantages of CFW.

Did you actually install rxtools?
As in do you know what slot0x25KeyX.bin and firmware.bin are?

Yeah, I did installed rxtools using the ds file..
And, I have firmware.bin but, I don't have slot file.. and, I dunno what they are! xP

2. Put firmware.bin in the rxtools/sys folder on your SD card root
Two methods to get this file:

• Run cdn_firm.py, it will be generated. Find it in the "Tools" folder.
• Download HERE, click the "CIA Format DLC's, Themes & Updates" link. Name of the thread is "[MEGA] [CIA/BIN] MSET 4.X & 6.X backups, Browser backups, Update packs (All Regions)"

3. Get "slot0x25KeyX.bin" (Hint: google it, download link should be in the description of a certain youtube video ) (MD5: 817FD1BFFBA60F79CF8CDF19CAF28923). Put this file on your SD card root.
