Hacking DSFTP 2.4 and M3SD

I mentioned this in the DSFTP topic, but nobody seemed to know anything there about my specific card. I've got DSFTP running on my M3SD, after having patched it with the correct DLDI file. However, when I try to transfer a 8MB GBA file, I get an error message saying I don't have enough space. This happens regardless of the amount of free space on my SD card.

Any ideas why?
