I don't think there is a basic interpretor for the DS, although i could be wrong, you should learn a real programming language any way

aye the ds compiles with assembly and C. if you know one language you can learn another in a short while. the more you learn the faster you pick things up.

That's pretty interesting. I have no use for this, but maybe someone would. Wouldn't you have to have specific softwares then for the certain things that are going to be programmed onto the cartridge?

but seriously, something like this is nice, but for anything alot of people would use, development would take a long time. For single-purpose applications, I'd like to learn some more on EE before I dive into this

2. IR connection - remote control
3. Connect to a camera
4. Attach controllers i.e. joypad
5. TV output?

7. Control an RC car from the DS
8. FM transmitter
9. bionic arm for the ds that can feed you while you play

Well, I'm in freshman engineering. Going for mechanical.
BASIC is what the "boe-bot" or, Board-of-Education Bot understands.
I've had a little fun with it, but I don't plan on programming anything.
I'm in it to build stuff

Though it's one of those "required" deals.
But it isn't boring, at least.

A year ago, I'da never figured programming a robot to go around my room without bumping into anything using IR LEDs.



BUT ON TOPIC:

I begin to "LOL" more and more.
As I see those who think they're uber geeks can't understand what this thing does, and how they cope with it.


I personally really don't know what it does.
Though I bet those who know what it does, and those who'll know how to use it will have a feild day(s) of sorts.

1st year electrical/computing engineering here.... we learn both 8051 assembly and C in the first year.... Its not actually as bad as it sounds

why do you have to learn any programming for mech eng anyway? weird.

I'm curious as to why this isn't a slot-2 release? does the slot-1 put out more?

This brings back the dream of someone maybe making a fully capable wifi slot-2 device for the DS... Maybe a 4 in 1.. with 128 mb mem + full capable wifi = DS ownage once again..

Beacause slot-2 is being phased out!!!! thanks to the DSi which can pretty much do all the things a flashcart enabled Ds lite can do and that's WITHOUT HACKING!!!!! That is why future projects are slot-1 only to become future proof the DSi doesn't have a GBA slot in addition to that do to the new features of the DSi and the DS SHOP the homebrew community will just move over their efforts to developing apps for the DS Shop were they can actually make money Nintendo has sucessfully MADE Flashcarts OBSOLETE by setting up a shop for apps to be made defeating the purpose of using flashcarts for homebrew. Then adding more ram making slot-2 ram expansion obsolete and slot 2 carts dead. Then putting movies and music on it out of the box leaving the only reason for flashcarts to be piracy!!! then making games downloadable and easy finally after mimicing the features of the flashcarts they are free to crack down as they please.

That won't be nessesary due to the built-in browser of the DSi
