Hacking DS-x memory card

I have DS-X 2GB. I formated the card FAT32. Updated the OS V1.1.3.
Now it does not work very well. I have to remove and reinsert the card 20 times and then it might work.
What can be wrong with it? Why doesn't it work most of the times and once in a while it works?

OH! I think I have the answer, try testing how you are putting it in your DS. For example pressing it in from the left side or the right. This could be issues with the pins in the card not connecting properly when you put it in, thus forcing you to put it in a special way (Pushing on a certain area when sloting it in).

Put some paper behind it in the slot to push the pins in properly.

Joey90 has the answer for you, paper always does the trick with contact problems.

point is here that this started to happen after your formatted, and updated the firmware.....

anyway try the paper thing.
