Hacking DS sound replacement

few days ago i disassembled my ds, and replaced it with a new shell
everything is going well except for the top screen and the sound.
i notice the orange cable that connect the lower shell with top shell is cracked.
does that effect the sound?
before i disassembled my ds, the sound was already broken. but the top screen was ok
does anyone know how i should fix my ds? especially the sound part
cant play game without sounds xD

yeah the top screen will be broken if the ribbon cable is cut, the ds speekers are solderd on to the ribbon cable so u will need to buy a neew top screen then unsolder the speekers from ur old top screen then solder them down to the new top screen

I did the same there a while ago and pierced the ribbon cable with a screwdriver

Be careful when you are soldering back the speakers, it can really hurt.
