Homebrew DS Sat Nav?

Is there currently any homebrew program which works as a satellite navigation? And if not would it be possible?

Edit:Bah,Im 100% sure there was a crappy version on one posted on the site once,but I can't seem to find it. Maybe this is useful.

To my knowledge there have been two projects, both use DSserial.

I do not recall where the other was but if memory serves it was only in the "announced" stage rather than anything usable.

There are however a few implementations of google maps and several other map related apps.
