sounds interesting man!

as a sidenote, with the features built in, it could be a good os replacement if it only had commercial rom loading. it probably wont happen due to implementations and stuff as with so many homebrew loaders before, but still, that would just make this standout.

as for the direction, what do you intend this to become? purely a rom organiser? or do you have plans to include media organising capabilities in the future too?

nevertheless, this looks like a promising piece of homebrew. many interesting features already, think that this would turn out wonderfully in the future... will try it out once i get the chance.

good job and keep up the good work!

Starting it as a DS roms only.

Since i never got feedback from my 40+ testers (except for 3, and i am thankfull to them)

Works on 95, 98, xp , 2000, vista 32. vista 64 never tested.

Any other suggestions / comments, send me an e-mail to the address that's in the program

Looks good!
A few suggestions, right off:
-Either use a .ini file, which I can delete to reset settings, or have a reset button in the options. I opened it on my desktop, and now the paths are stuck there.
-Let the user change the text in the Directories boxes, in the Setup. I want to find the folder, copy that to every other box, and then add in the "img\" and such after that. Instead, I've got to browse around and create new folders and rename folders, all about five or six times.
-Radio buttons should start with a default value
-A 'cancel' button for the whole Setup window might be handy

The columns are hard to handle. Is that a Windows thing, or can you fix that?
It looks functional, though the UI needs to be cleaned up.
Maybe the first time they open, the Setup can open to help the user along.

hi,

the ini file is located in the same spot as the database, c:\users\username\application data\ds rom organizer

I will add a reset button in it

btw the directories are not stuck.. just hit the button next to it. then you can change the folder.

the columns? must be a windows thing. don't have any problems with it..
what kind of problem do you have with it?

Ah, I assumed the options were stored in the registry, so I never checked my application data.

I know I can use the buttons, but my point was that I'd have to use that button for each of the several options. For each one, I'd have to navigate through a bunch of folders to set it to where I wanted it, instead of setting it once and copy-pasting the path to the others. You'd usually only have to set those paths once in the entire life of the application, but it's still time, and it dramatically affects the first impression the program makes.

The actual handles for the columns (to change the widths) seem to be a few pixels beside the graphics of the columns, so that if I try clicking directly on the line I end up sorting it instead. I have to put my cursor a bit to the right of that line, if I remember correctly, to resize the column. Other than that, it worked fine; it just threw me off for a minute.

I really like this application. Makes it much easier to sort the ROMS before transferring them to my drive. I have a few suggestions, but they are written down at home so I will post them later tonight.
