Hacking DS Numbers

My DS is doing this thing where it cant turn off and the screen in always black and when you hold the power swich up it makes the bottom screen flicker. If I send my DS to nintendo and I use the number off another DS will Nintendo know its not really the number and send it back to me? The number on my DS has no more warrenty and its not on the back of the DS anymore because its worn out.

So you can't turn it OFF, or do you mean it won't turn ON

If it wont turn on and the bottom screen flashes (but the top one doesn't) then the top screen / cable / connector has a fault.

The DS HAS to see both screens before it will turn on, replace the top screen (comes with the cable ) $11. If you have changed the case, then refit the screen connector for the top screen.

It used to do that but that where the bottm screen flashes and the top one does not. but I blew in it and now it wont turn on >.> WHY did I blow in it!!?? >.>
