Went too town today for a replacement Ds Lite because it was under guarantee for 2years replacement like for like.

Because my left shoulder button not working.
I had Nds lite in black. But I could only a Red one, I asked when will the black or white Ds Lite, be in they said, they are not sure if they any black or white Ds Lite any time soon.
Is it the end of the Ds Lite, because of the Dsi And the Ds Xl.

yes, nintendo has discontinued the black, pink and white ds lite systems, in favour of those colours being available as DSi systems (in addition to the raspberry and blue).

here in the states, you can only purchase crimson / black, cobalt / black, metallic pink and silver ds lite systems

Yeah, that sucks.

I wanted to get a White DS lite to match my CycloDS, but I had to settle for a silver one. It's not bad though, as it actually looks quite nice (and I could always replace the shell if I really need to).

I say that if you really need a black one, fix up a broken eBay buy or just replace your own shell.

Have you tried lifting the button a little and blowing into it?

Sounds like the spring broke on the inside, if you can still move it and it's loose, that should be the problem.
Maybe you should open it up and take a look inside.
I am not sure if that is the problem, but that's just what it sounds like to me.
EDIT: Glad you had a case though ^-^
