I have a DS lite that does not turn on, but does charge. The fuses are both intact, but the power just will not come on. I tried replacing the power switch, but that didn't work, and while fiddling with it to try to get it to work, the power switch snapped off, taking the solder pads from the motherboard with it. Also, if left alone for long enough, it powers on once, to set the user information, even though there is no power switch in the console. So, three questions:

  1. Why would my DS not be turning on, even though the fuses are fine and all the internal components seem to be in the right place,
  2. Is there any other trace or pad where I could, say, solder a wire to go to the power switch or any way to fix the pads, and
  3. Why would it turn on despite the obvious lack of a power switch or any other means of turning on?
EDIT: Nevermind, the power fuse is busted. Also, the DS is probably turning on because of my r4 cart, because it doesn't turn on without it in. I still need help with the power switch's pads, though
