its under tutorials.

People posted pics of them doing it, no real walk though, but they say its pretty strait forward all you need is a soldering iron, and the leds and some resistors sold at alot of places theya are cheap like $0.20-2.00 cents each.

place to buy cheap leds.

dont forget to get resistors, resistors regulate the power flow to the led lights, too much juice and you will fry the leds.

if anyone gets wind of where we can get these, please post it up. i'm very interested in these too.

In case your wondering, it's not as simple as just replacing the buttons. You need to connect the LEDs to power points on the motherboard with resistors along the circuit (I think), as well as other things. So it'd at least require basic soldering skill. You can use those links that dbgtdob posted to purchase all the materials you need, and then you can follow some tutorials to put them in.

i know, thanks for the warning though

i'm more worried about resistors though...anybody know how large they are and how well they fit inside the shell of the DS?

and seeing as how i know nothing of LED's...how would i connect the LED to resistors? would i need one for the anode and one for the cathode? bleh, sorry if these are really stupid questions.

Those LEDs are too big. For the DS it is recommended to use 0603 LEDs. I prefer the Blue one or a red one.
