DS Life v3
Game of Life Implementation for the DS

Implementation of Conway's Game of Life for the Nintendo DS.

256x192 array of life (same dimensions as the resolution of the DS screen.)
Zoom in 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, and 32x.
At zoom levels >=4, a grid is displayed.
Draw life while the simulation is running.
Change the rules to whatever you want.

If you're interested in GoL, this site is a good place to start. There's all kinds of links and info about the stuff you can do with it. For example, this guy implemented a complete Universal Turing Machine in Game of Life.

It has always worked on my M3 Simply while testing, which is pretty much the same thing as an R4, isn't it? So it should work... But I have had this problem once before, and I found out that a certain function caused it to hang at the "Game loading" screen. I use this function to print the current generation that the life simulation is on, so what I've done is removed that feature temporarily and made this new binary: http://viewsourcecode.org/downloads/ds-lif...generations.nds . Tell me if it works or not!

That means it couldn't load the data files. You have to make a folder on your storage device called "data" if it doesn't exist already, then copy the "life" folder that comes with the download to the data folder.

lol. that's even worse. Can't stand sports games. But still, what's the point of this game and what do you do? It says "Game of Life" yet all it seems to be is some big black dots on a grid.
Oh, well, i just clicked the wikipedia link, and I understand now. How do i program/changes the rules of it?
