Gaming DS Game Cart Error?

Alright, so my not even a month old new DSi for some reason won't play PKMN Platinum. It can play others like HG/SS but not that one. It was working fine about 2 months ago when my DS Phat still worked. Can anyone offer a solution?

You could try the paper trick, but it shouldn't be needed for official games.

You usually start getting errors when you blow into the DSi slot, which is BAD and irreparable.

1. Are you using a flash card or a legitimate cartridge?
2. If you're using a flash card, what flash card is it and what firmware are you using?

No, I'm using a real cartridge bought from Game Stop back in 2009. Anyways, turns out that I needed to put alcohol for some reason on the small golden strips. That somehow fixed the problem. \_(•-•)_/
