Hacking DS Download Play isn't working

Hello,

I'm getting "an error has occurred" and messages similar to it when I try to connect with my brother through DS Download Play...I grabbed my Phantom Hourglass cart & it worked perfectly so I know this must have something to do with either the AK2i or my XL.

Does anyone know how to get around this?

Is DS Download play enabled in your settings?

Newbie user here, I notice that there is a "default" option in addition to Enable and Disable. Is it possible to make it enabled by default? Also, what are the downsides of enabling it on a game that does not even have Download play? Will the battery life be shorter or something like that?

BTW, "Default" makes the ROM use the main settings, while "Enable/Disable" is for ROM-specific settings.

How do you change the main settings? I couldn't find it in the System Options.

The Y, Y method is only good on a per rom basis. DeMoN wanted to know how to change the "default" setting.

In case anyone else cares, I just read the AKAIO Wiki and it said that disabling Download Play makes games run faster.
