Mobydisk has released a Dictionary App for the DS!

My first homebrew application for the Nintendo DS. Never be without a dictionary again!

DS Dictionary version 1 (last updated 2007/06/07)
You will need the DLDI patch tool tool and a suitable mod chip for your DS.

The NewDicts07M is way better than this. You can download dictionaries, thesaurses, an encyclopedia and many more things. I have an english to french dictionary and a list of the elements.

NewDicts07M sounds way better though, but I haven't tried any of them, so I can't really say, but as far as features go (as nexus7412369 mentions it can have dictionaries, thesauruses, encyclopedias and etc.) it sounds way better.

The only problem is that its a pain to convert the dict files and they can take up quite a bit of space if you get carried away. I have five books and they come to a grand total of 38MB. I also read somewhere that it can read ebooks...

Just found out about NewDict07 yesterday. Tried it and while it's a work in progress, it work well enough. The ability to load custom dictionary is neat. I have wordnet on my DS.

Converting the files is really just a bunch of downloads since all of those tools are free and easily downloadable. NewDict070 is up to version S. It does take up a bunch of space if you go overboard and load it up with multiple dictionaries, but if a game can take up 128MB on your card, surely 20-50MB is a small price to pay for a free dictionary.

Still, not taking anything away from the maker of the Dictionary app posted here. Thanks to the coder and to the one who unearthed it and posted it here.
