According to a certain user of a certain message boards from a certain FAQ site, this game is better than sex, life itself and every other game in history. If you happen to know him, have a good laugh on his doubtful honour

On topic. It's a great game, although it has two WEAK spots:

- Story and plot: almost non-existent story, linear and unimaginative plot
- WiFi: full of cheaters, hackers and... well, cheaters and hackers. Ruin the WiFi experience completely.

The monster combining is awesome, although a bit... time-spending. OK, it's a grindfest if you want to have a strong team. Heck, it's a grindfest even if you want to keep up with the level scaling in the main story mode. Nevertheless, it's one of the best RPGs on the system, even for those who don't like monster raising games

I did not find the game to be that much of a grindfest. As long as you don't go out of your way to avoid monsters. Of course, if you go in and you think you'll breeze through then you're in for a suprise but that hardly makes it a bad game.

That wifi weak spot is more of a ds problem than a DQM:J problem.

It it a grindfest but not that much to beat the game. You just have to be smart and build the typical winner team: All Rounder, Big Hitter, Medic. All Rounders weaken the enemy locking down their big moves or strengthen your defense/attack, Big Hitters deliver massive damage and Medics have heal and resurrect besides some spells like all rounders. That's all you need to get through. Don't bother with the joker monster ( even though I dig the wolfie... it has charm ) as it is not really thaaaat good ( well, at the beginning yes but not later anymore ). Just keep it in the back row so it gets some exp too.

The game is okay. Not the best since sliced bread but also nothing to moan about. Been there done that.
