Dreamcast CD-R Errors

My Dreamcast I bought a year ago was made in September 2000 and it can read burned DC games on a CD-R.

Only three games have worked on it, the rest either go into a boot loop or it tells me, "Please insert game disc".

Could it be as simple as a dirty lens or is it more complicated?

Many troubleshooting guides have been out of existence, so, if there is anything up-to-date, please let me know.

I also have a Utopia boot disc, but, when I insert another CD, Utopia does not load it up. It could be the drive itself.

Clean the lens from the system and try to bend the pins a bit back from the connector.
