Gaming Drakengard 3! Who's getting it?

Drakengard 3 is finally getting released in the west this week.

Drakengard 1 and 2 were games that you loved or hated. It had some mediocre gameplay but a really awesome and twisted story. However, in 2010 NieR came out and while it did not get favourable reviews it became an underrated gem with it's gripping story, great english voice acting (Liam O'Brien as Grimoire Weiss is simply amazing) and awesome music:



So Drakengard 3 (Or Drag-On Dragoon 3 in Japan) was announced and many people in the West thought it was never coming here. However in late 2013 it was announced that Drakengard 3 was coming to America and Europe and here we are today.

NieR is one of my favorite RPGs of the last console generation and I am so happy to see it coming here. I can't be the only one on GBATemp to wait for this game, right?

Well, I just got my copy in the mail today. I have yet to play any of the other games in the series, but I got this cause it was interesting. I cant wait to play it!

Got my Collector's Edition yesterday. But since I live in Europe I can't play it yet due to the PSN store saying it's not released yet (We got Digital only in Europe, so no Game disc in my CE).

it's certainly sweet! What do you think of it so far? I am on the last Verse of Chapter 3. Love the dark parts but there is so much silliness mixed in with it this time that I don't know what to think. The games makes things a little too lighthearted sometimes even though stuff that is happening on screen is horrible. NieR and the old Drakengard games weren't afraid to be super gloomy at times. Maybe it'll get more serious as I get further into the game.

This will be the first game I get on PSNow if we Brits ever get the service. Sucks that the collectors edition doesn't even have a disc!

That said, I own the first two games, and Nier became ridiculously expensive after a day, so I need to get both to have the complete saga.

So far, I like it. I'm at the end of chapter 2 I think.

Got the first ending yesterday, and currently getting all the treasures I missed on the first 5 chapters. Then it's on to get the second ending!

Got all four endings, completed 3 of 5 DLCs and therefore soon have all trophies. I think you will hate the Branch D final boss, it's incredibly frustrating, but a nice reference to the last boss of the first Drakengard game.

I kinda peeked at it. That looks crazy hard.

I wanna play the DLc but I'm not too crazy about the prices. Maybe if they ever go on sale.
