Gaming Dragon quest IX - Fake

Hi I was searching in google and found a Dragon Quest IX, when I saw it searched around and found that is a fake
But that is not the worse thing, a friend of mine downladed it and tryed in his DS, but it turned off and when hi tryed to turn it on again and showed only a green screen, searching for info finded than this have happen to so many people so I wanted to tell you.

It looks like the creator of this is someone who calls himself darkfader.

No shit it's fake, the game hasn't even been released yet.

I hope your friend enjoys his brick, because I'm pretty sure that's what it is if he's just turning on to a green screen.

Actually this probably should not be deleted, because you can still find this by using google. So it is still good to have in case anyone has not seen it yet.

Well a few things would give it away like size of the file, ROM header (you can check this using something like Rominator) and actually the icon itself which I'm sure is an avatar of the hero. Sucks that your friend is in this pickle but prevention is always better than a cure. :|

Next time, check some other sites to see if its an official release, or else it may be like this.

And DQ is EXTREMELY HOT in Japan. So don't worry as a dump will certainly appear. People are crazy over pre-ordering it now!

considering how far off the release date is this is 95% a fake when you see it especially if its not on a trustable site but some games were dumped much before the release date so it isnt impossible just as long as its on a site you trust

u know what the funny thing was? Today i just went to a game store in a shopping district and i saw DQ IV with the label : "NEW" and it was sold at 65 bucks, haha, an old game and they label it as new

Unless there were some really big changes to the original post, here's my perspective on the post-

I actually think this should remain open actually. The title clearly says it was fake and even bricks your DS if you try to run it. It's a good warning. I was actually about to submit news about it as a dire warning because it made Gonintendo news. It's important to know these things I believe. Just my 2 cents.

The topic poster never claimed the game was real. In my perspective, he was warning people about the rom floating around and telling people not to try it. That's not a bad thing at all. In fact, the way I look at it, this guy is doing us all a good favor. No one WANTS to have their DS bricked do they? Whatever anyways.

I was readingthe instructions and didn't understand one thing and want to make sure a few things

# Put FlashMe on your flash cart by itself, without any loader.
----I assume this means to put the flashme.nds in the sd / hdsd card without any files on there? Or are flashcart the GBA carts? As in totally nothing but the .nds in the root. What is the "without any loader" mean?
If your flash cart software mangles the header, you must prepend a loader to the nds file. To do this:
