How did they got multi touch? I thought the DS couldn't handle that?

It can't maybe if you try to replace the top screen with a touch screen which has a 99% chance of not working with out other hardware changes.

well then how did they finish that feature? Im so confused.

Guys, the DS screen is actually a multi touch screen, but the ds's superficial restrictions prevented it's use up until now. now hard mods required.

its a first releace. they normaly have bugs.
congrats hillbilli on starting such an ambitios project, and so far doing very nice on it!

If it's based on the multitouch demo from months ago, then you are incorrect. The DS cannot detect multiple touches. If you press in two locations, it registers a single touch at the midpoint of the two contact points. You can do some tricky manipulation and pressure sensing to figure out when there's more than one touch being registered, and from that you can guess where the touches are, but you cannot know for certain what the exact two sets of coordinates are.

Search for SVSIP. That's the functionality the developer wants to add.

The DS's screen isn't multitouch, read this article.

It's either still possible to add multi-touch functions or this is a lie.

Well I for one played Taiko Drum DS with two styli. Worked flawlessly. If multi is more than dual touch then of course I wouldn't know. I've very hard to figure out why you'd want more than two fingers (or styli) on the screen at once though. It would be most awkward holding either the DS or the IPhone that way.
