hello. is there anyway of playing downloadable dsi games, such as Shantae, on the 3ds? I wasn't sure if flash carts, such as the r4i were specifically designed for the dsi or if they were designed to play dsi downloadable games. thanks!
Yes, you can buy Shantae from the eShop on the 3DS (or if you have it on your DSi you can transfer it to the 3DS). Currently no flash cart can hope to play DSi downloadable titles except the CycloDS iEvolution however that cart's makers have been missing for 10 months and counting without any updates.
tl;dr Shantae is available on the 3DS. There is only ONE flash cart with a chance at playing the titles but the support is pretty much dead.
