Hacking Download games without software update?

Is it possible to download games from the Eshop without uodatiup my switch? It keeps prompting to update when I try downloading the game. Is there a workaround?

NUS downloader might be able to snatch the game from the servers. However you would need a way to install them.

Only thing I can think of is if you have a friend with an updated Switch they can download the update and send it to you over local WiFi. I'm not sure if that also send the system update however, I just remember seeing it as an option when I got my Switch a while ago.

most likely it will say you need to update your system first as both system versions need to match. As i have rocket league it won't let me update from my friends copy says system update is available please connect online and update. ( i have updates blocked) if i click update software via match users version maybe it sends system version information as well?
