@everyone: There is something you can help me with. You may have followed D9's commit history, and you may know that there are a few new features that are of high public interest.

This test build (= not a release yet) contains new features for conversion of NCCH/NCSD (.3DS files) to CIA and for direct dumping of carts to CIA:
https://transfer.sh/isE4w/decrypt9wip-20160804-234706.zip
You may also build yourself from the 'ciadump' branch.

Give this a try. Dump carts (the more, the better) to CIA, try to install, play, view the manual. Also try converting existing dumps to CIA. And (to make sure I didn't break anything), also try the old 'regular' dumping (to .3DS) options, to make sure I didn't break anything. Give me feedback.

Big thanks go to @ihaveamac for this - without his work, this would have never been possible.

Everything worked perfectly, except for one thing: could you add support for zerokey crypto .3ds files? The conversion from .3ds to .cia failed because the .3ds file has a zerokey crypto and it wasn't supported.

Oh hell yeah! This is freaking awesome! I have only dumped one game so far (Rune Factory 4), but it worked flawlessly! Manual was fine, save transferred fine via JKSM, everything played smoothly. Took a little while, but it is well worth it. Being able to not only dump the cart, but convert it into an installable file is awesome! While dumping/converting is easy to do on the computer, this is pretty damned great and it's a feature I know a lot of people have been hoping for.

Also really digging the new font! :D

Directly dumped four retail carts to CIA (Zelda OOT, Zelda MM, Zelda ALBW and Paper Mario SS) all worked flawlessly including manuals, awesome job guys, thank you.

Directly dumping Rayman 3D works nicely, i initially thought it didn't dump the manual until i checked the cartridge and realised it actually didn't come with a manual lol.

Great job as usual guys.

The dumping cart to CIA works pretty well, but I think I found a small issue, the cia won't show its icon when I was installing it with FBI 2.4.1.
If I Use the normal way to make cia,the icon showed up.

what game is this? or is this multiple games?

Thanks to everyone who tested! Good to see this already seems to work with little to no problems!

A .3ds file with zerokey crypto... Was this for a GW card initially? Or was this actually a card? Tbh, I'm unsure if I want to support this because I don't know how compatible (with existing CFWs) such a converted CIA would be.

I think @pdapanda meant the icon not showing up in FBI, when installing it, right? And that may be due to the CIA not containing any meta info. Not completely sure, though, cause to my knowledge almost no CIA contains meta info.

I think makerom includes the meta region at the end, if it can get the info required (for decrypted games).

I noticed that as well, it's a minor issue though and happened with the four carts I dumped earlier, another thing I noticed is that I couldn't get this release the work on my O3DS it always gives me a black screen, the previous one is working fine though.

Okay, here's a new test build (or compile yourself from ciaconvfix branch):
https://transfer.sh/D6nZK/decrypt9wip-20160805-161051.zip

This includes support for zerokey crypto conversion and CIA metadata. Please test and give me feedback!

Metadata works completely now
