So I tried to play Triforce DL play with some friends, was using my Emunand which is on 10.2. Both of them are in 9.9 so they would have to update to play, both of them use themehax and browserhax. Is there a way to downgrade the emunand to 9.9 so it doesn't attempt to update the others?

Yes, use sysupdater and upgrade cia packs which you can find either on 3DNUS or "that" ISO site.

I doubt sysupdater will work because the firm used in arm9 memory would be higher than that of the one you're trying to install. Theres no override on retail systems for that.

As long as you're upgrading, you'll be fine.. Downgrading doesnt work if the firmware running is higher than the one youre installing.
Are you speaking from personal experience, or merely hypothesising?

I'm sure @RonH downgrades emuNAND as part of his old3DS to new3DS system transfer solution.

Well I know for a fact that AM service doesnt allow installing of older firmwares, and checks arm9mem. But im not sure if sysupdater uses a kind of firmlaunch to bypass that.

Sysupdater downgrades doesn't include firm 0/1 as far as my tests have shown. I inject them manually if I need to downgrade emunand and flash to sys nand.

With emunand and firm spoof downgrade works but I wouldn't try on sys nand directly

I think shiny said that anti-downgrade protection can simply be bypassed by first deleting the old title, and then installing the older version.

It compares your CIA with what stuff in config memory.. which is set during firm launch. Idk, if it was easy, we'd all have 1.0.0 systems lol.
