Hacking Downgrading back to 11.7?

I updated it and got a "Failed to apply 1 FIRM patch" error, but then I heard about, how Nintendo can easily detect pirate accesses on that version, so I'd rather downgrade my 3ds back to the previous firmware

so, how can I do that?

If you have a backup nand, you can use that to restore back to a previous version. If you don't, just add Luma 9.1 to your SD card. Supposedly they only detect it at the time of installation and not when you just go online with a pirated game.

well if you have not yet update to the latest luma3ds then you can use a homebrew app called sysupdater which can downgrade your system obviously requires cfw using a downloaded FW which I cannot link to you
