Hacking Downgrade question

what error are u getting with ios downgrader now ?

whenever i start it, it tells me to press A to proceed and as soon as I do it tells me to press anything to restart the wii and it restarts. why is it still doing this?

Its usually that you dont have a custom ios installed , but since you have it installed already im a bit confused.
Once you have ios16 and cios_fix installed it should work fine :s

what would happen if i ran the cIOS installer? would that let me play backups again? Or would it screw things up even more?

i was just thinking that - try running it and then try the IOS Downgrader after you run that DOL

Did that and I still can't load downgrader. But I can run backups again at least...

very strange - i have never seen that issue before - could prob sort it if i had the wii in front of me with trial and error , but without really being able to see everything im a bit stumped - sorry man

It's alright, man. I only wanted 3.2U so I could install Starfall, and after trying a different Starfall .dol, I got it to install. I mean... I guess I downgraded using cIOS, got starfall and have backups running... I'm not sure what the IOS downgrader would do for me at this point. How important would you say it is?

I thought that if IOS Downgrader requests restart wii as soon as it's loaded, it means that all of the IOS is trucha-signed?

I don't know, from my experience it did that.

with any waninkoko cIOS installed at 249 (which cios_fix is) IOS Downgrader 1.0 should work, the only reason I can think of that is might not work is that....all his IOS are already downgraded....which would make sense because (suspense builds)....he ran anytitle deleter, and that requires downgraded IOS.

hate to be back with more questions, but.. now my wii doesn't play DVDs on MPlayer. WHat should I do? I tried installing cios_rev6 and 7, DVDx on normal install and advanced on 249... but it still doesn't work? Have I just messed things up again?

NVM, all i had to do was uninstall DVDx and reinstall it using the Advanced version. Whew.

I'm in the exact boat as the creater of this topic. I want to install Starfall so that I don't install an update which will ruin my softmod.

I followed this youtube guide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyQoIecCoVs) to softmod my Wii and it works perfectly. Only problem is I don't have cIOS Downgrader 1.2 and IOS Downgrader 1.0 in my hbc. How do I get that?
