There is a new version of snex9xGX available that lets you emulate the snes and play with the classic controller (or WiiMote). It is only available in dol format.

I rarely play homebrew and I only want one homebrew channel. The Hell Hibou Launcher has been great because I get a menu on my Wii with all of my homebrew.

The fact that I cannot google up any recent topics about DolTool and the fact that only 350 users have downloaded the utility from GBAtemp since March does not give me much confidence that it works.

Perhaps there is a better way for me to get a menu on my Wii of my homebrew than Hell Hibou Launcher?

I have only one channel. I stated that I only want one channel to make it clear that I do not want to set up a separate channel.

You have to understand that the Wii can read in both .DOL and .ELF so it doesnt matter at all what format it's in.

This includes custom channels as you can just rename the .DOL or .ELF to 0001.app and repack.

You do not need to use a doltool as that was only for moving Gamecube Homebrew to the Wii.

Now, everything you could do on the gamecube has already been updated for the Wii, so that tool is useless for the Wii.

I have the homebrew channel. I know that the homebrew channel can launch dol or elf.

I use the Hell Hibou Launcher because the Hell Hibou Launcher lets you select which application that you want to launch. The Hell Hibou Launcher only works with elf.

    1. I have a homebrew channel.
    2. I use Hell HIbou Launcher which only launches elf
    3. I have only one channel
    4. I have only one channel

    5,6,7,8,9, ... I need some help here.

So....what is stopping you from just using the Homebrew Channel and not the Hell Hibou Launcher?

Homebrew Channel also lets you select which app to launch...

??? I see, I think. The current homebrew channel gives you a menu? If this is the case then I need to upgrade my homebrew channel. Mine is from way back in April when Jay Paradox first made a permanent homebrew channel available.

Does the homebrew channel actually give you a menu or does the homebrew channel just allow you to tab?

Nevermind, sorry. I see from the video on Wii Brew.

OK. so I need to upgrade my channel.

Ah well. I like my current set up so I used DolTool to convert the new snes emulator to an elf. Seems to work.
